| Interfaces | Connectors |
| Data | Records of constructions and glazings, written by trano from the YAML file |
| BoundaryConditions | Weather and solar irradiance (after Buildings.BoundaryConditions) |
| Envelope | Walls, floors, roofs and windows (after Buildings.ThermalZones.Detailed and Buildings.HeatTransfer) |
| Zones | Thermal zones |
| Hydronics | Water circuits after Buildings.Fluid. Two modes, set by the evaluated parameter pressureDriven of every component: set flows (each valve sets the flow of its branch, the production closes the balance: the model of optimal control), or pressure-driven flows (closed-loop simulation: a pressure node at the inlet of every component, the flow of every outlet from its conductance, the pumps on their curves, as the linearized circuits of Buildings) |
| Ventilation | Mechanical ventilation (after trano's Buildings system D) |
| Controls | Controllers of the closed-loop model: the controls of trano's Buildings models without events (smooth limits and set point changes, hysteresis as fast bistable states, anti-windup PI). The width of every smooth transition and the switching time of every hysteresis are parameters (dU, dY, dMax, dT, dtSet, tau), at values that reproduce the switching controllers by default; wider transitions and slower switches give a controller that collocation and gradient-based calibration can follow |
| Electrical | Electricity production |
| HVAC | Ideal heating and cooling |
FastSmoothBuildings models buildings and their heating, cooling and ventilation systems as smooth, event-free explicit ordinary differential equations: close to the Modelica Buildings library in closed loop, and translated by rumoca into a CasADi model for model predictive control, state estimation and calibration.
